Menulog has partnered with Parramatta pizza restaurant, Pizza Design Co, to offer Australia’s first 23ct gold leaf pizza.
Available as a takeaway item, the ‘Golden Margherita’ – a classic margherita pizza topped with 23ct gold leaf – will be offered for a limited time only on the Menulog platform, from Thursday, 13 October.
Each Golden Margherita – available for pick-up only – comes with a certificate of authenticity, and retails for $50.
Menulog will offer complimentary Golden Margheritas to the first 100 orders, and pre-orders can be made from 12pm on 13 October, available for pick-up from 5-9pm on the day.
Owner and general manager of Pizza Design Co., Nick Tsotras, said “At our restaurant opening last March alone, we had a 200 metre line-up of pizza lovers from Church Street all the way up to Phillip Street to try our complimentary pizzas. The Golden Margherita will be on our Menulog menu for a limited time, and if the demand is high, we’ll keep it on our menu.”
