The Fink Group is extending its hospitality offering in Sydney, launching a private balcony bar at Bennelong restaurant later this week.

Located at the Sydney Opera House and with views of the Harbour Bridge, the Bennelong Balcony will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon in January, from 12pm until late.

Bar manager Aaron Gaulke has put together a beverage list including Champagne, wine and beer as well as cocktails including the ‘Just Fine and Dandy’, which comprises Ketel one vodka, Piper Heidsieck champagne, St Germain, apricot brandy, apple and bitters, and the ‘Whispers on the Breeze’ which includes Sauvignon Blanc, elderflower, blanc vermouth, lemon, cucumber and soda.

Bennelong Bar will officially open on 8 January and will also serve small plates. The bar forms of Summer at the House, an annual outdoor dining and entertainment program held on the western forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.

The bar’s launch is the latest from Sydney’s The Fink Group, which had a stellar 2015, launching Surry Hills diner Firedoor, headed up by Lennox Hastie, as well as the highly anticipated Bennelong restaurant where chef Peter Gilmore is tossing the pans.

In a recent contribution to Hospitality, The Fink Group’s CEO, John Fink, shares his predictions on what will have the biggest influence in the foodservice sector this year. Check out his thoughts here.
