The Electrolux Appetite for Excellence program is once again underway, with entries open across the annual awards’ three categories: Young Chef, Young Restaurateur and Young Waiter.

Founded in 2005, the Appetite for Excellence program aims to develop, support and recognise the next generation of culinary professionals. This year, industry icons including Guy Grossi, Mark Best, Peter Doyle, Peter Gilmore, Nick Hildebrant and Luke Mangan will mentor the applicants, who will have the opportunity to take part on educational masterclasses, produce tours and industry networking events.

“We provide people with an environment that assists in developing networks and being involved in a community of like-minded people that are inspiring, knowledgeable who want you to succeed,” said Phee Gardner, project director.
