The Streets of Barangaroo has announced an additional five food retailers will open in the development in 2016. Included in the announcement are Two Sticks and Old Town Hong Kong, which are set to open in mid-July.

Two Sticks currently operates in Haymarket with a menu of noodle soups mostly based on cuisine from the Yunnan province in China’s southwest, although the Barangaroo menu will offer some differences.

Old Town Hong Kong, also based in Haymarket, is known for its dumplings and a menu that combines old and new Hong Kong cuisine. The menu will offer diversity with Cantonese, non-Cantonese Chinese, Western, Japanese and Southeast Asian. The new eatery will differ from the original by offering tasting plates and meals that will suit the lunchtime market, as well as a Hong Kong style breakfast of congee and dumplings.

Both venues will open in The Canteen, a food court that features a collection of 10 outlets, including Holy Basil, Ipoh Town and Sushi Hon. Two Sticks and Old Town Hong Kong will be joined by Me Oi, Muum Maam and Billu later in 2016.

The Streets of Barangaroo is the third site for home-style Vietnamese eatery, Me Oi, which will open on harbour-front Wulugul Walk in September. Also opening in September is Muum Mamm, a 100-seater authentic Thai restaurant, with a focus on seasonal, fresh produce. Billu will open in mid-October, serving traditional Indian cuisine.

A quarter of Barangaroo’s retailers have already opened, with the majority set to open in late 2016.
