Looking to grow your business and venue’s online blueprint? Here are some top tips to leverage social and digital marketing for hospitality brands.

1. Include business details in your profiles

Include your hours and contact information in your profile. Add a ‘book now’ button if you accept reservations and upload a menu. The less clicks it takes to find out about your business, the better

2. Use trending hashtags

To increase awareness about your Instagram profile and your restaurant, include relevant trending hashtags. For example, if it’s #nationaloysterday, and your culinary delights include oysters, post a delicious photo of that dish.

3. Use video

In today’s multi-screen world, video storytelling itself has never been hotter. One-third of online activity is spent watching video, so get on board with engaging visual content

4. Use location-based advertising

Location-based advertising allows you to control when people see your ads within a certain radius. For example, when a customer walks by a location and happens to be browsing Facebook, Facebook will target them with an ad to drive them into store.

5. Feature a social media influencer

Get your brand in front of the right people by working with a relevant social media influencer. For example, if your restaurant is based in Sydney, a Sydney-based influencer can post about your food, driving awareness to their own audience and promoting your brand. Always check your proposed influencers have a relevant and engaged audience.
