Following the success of its inaugural year, S.Pellegrino will be launching its next Young Chef competition in January 2016.
This year, the global competition attracted over 3,000 applications which were assessed by 100 top chefs across the globe.
Winner of this year’s competition, Irish chef Mark Moriarty said that he was “delighted and honoured” to be named S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015.
“The journey was an unforgettable and one off experience that I will never forget. I met so many fantastic chefs along the way and the title has made an incredible difference to my career as a whole”.
The 2016 competition will feature a renewed panel of judges including some of the world’s most renowned culinary talent including David Higgs, Carlo Cracco, Gaggan Anand, Elena Arzak, Mauro Colagreco, Wylie Dufresne and Roberta Sudbrack.
The competition itself will comprise three stages:
- Stage One: Online application. Online applications will be open from1st January until 31 March, 2016.
- Stage Two: Selection of regional shortlist and regional winner
- Stage Three: The grand finale event
