Sushi Sushi is rolling on with its Adelaide expansion by launching a second location set to open in late July in the City Cross Arcade.

It’s another step for the brand’s venture into South Australia, after they opened their first store in the New Royal Adelaide Hospital last month.

“The alignment with a prominent healthcare facility helps to reinforce our position as a high-quality, healthy and fresh convenience food,” said Gavan Meadows, general manager of franchise sales and marketing.

“Unfortunately, there are many on-the-go foods – including other sushi providers – that are far from healthy and fall short on freshness and quality, and we are committed to filling that gap.

“We also wanted our first Adelaide store to have true meaning and a real sense of community, so the partnership with New Royal Adelaide Hospital was a natural fit.”

The CBD launch is part of a broader plan to open 12 Sushi Sushi venues throughout South Australia over the next two to three years, offering employment and franchise opportunities to the greater Adelaide market.

“Our South Australian focus is simply a response to consumer demand as we know local residents have developed an increasing appetite for high-quality yet convenient Japanese cuisine,” said Gavin.

“We’re also thrilled to create exciting opportunities for new franchise partners to join our growing network in Adelaide, and up to 150 new jobs for the local market over the next three years.”

Sushi Sushi now has more than 120 locations across Australia and is the country’s largest sushi franchise.

The 2017 Restaurant Leaders Summit on 31 July at Randwick Racecourse will host a panel on Brand Expansion: How, when and why to franchise featuring Chat Thai’s Palisa Anderson, Huxtaburger’s Matt Fickling, Mad Mex’s Clovis Young and DC Strategy’s Suzanne Jarzabkowska.  Tickets available now.
