The Diver Caf in Coogee in Sydney’s eastern suburbs is under new management, and has welcomed a new head chef.

Former investment banker Sheridan Sorensen and Australian Navy Officer Tor Sorensen purchased the cafe five months ago. The husband and wife duo have reopened it, with a focus on quality local produce, healthy food and tailored options for customers.

"At Diver Cafe we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and giving our customers what they want. Whether you prefer Paleo, vegetarian or sugar-free, eat everything or are looking for a hangover feast there's something for you on our menu and if not, we are more than happy to create a meal using the ingredients you choose. We have fantastic local suppliers and are focused on quality food with a creative twist," said Sheridan.

Head chef Aaron Langford comes to The Diver Cafe from Bank Corner Espresso in Newcastle and has introduced a number of new dishes to the menu including semolina pancakes with silken tofu served with coconut yoghurt and fresh berries, as well as the new Billy Goat's beetroot cakes.

The cafe's menu also includes the gGreen bBreakie Bowl with a poached egg on a bed of kale, quinoa and herbs with chopped avocado and tahini dressing; The Hangover Cure;  the Southern Fried Chicken Burger on a fresh brioche bun and served with chips; and a special Fit Picks menu featuring high protein and low carb options.

Fresh pastries and cakes from The Ministry will be on offer along with coffee from Inner Western coffee supplier, The Little Marionette. Cold drip coffee, fresh juice, smoothies and other popular beverages including golden and matcha lattes will also be available.
