Tomcat, a new bar and dining space will open in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane on Friday 30 September.

Tomcat is a casual space with live music performances and casual drinks. The menu features 18 inch stone-based pizzas with flavours such as pumpkin and sage, Mediterranean, and pepperoni, available whole or by the slice.

“We’ve enjoyed the chilled vibes in Melbourne over the past three years and are keen to bring them Brisbane’s way,” said Tomcat co-owner Chris Denman. “Think house party meets dive bar with a touch of 80s swag thrown in.”

Drinks include craft beer, cider, and continuously changing tap cocktails. The venue will also include a hidden bar, The Boiler Room, with premium spirits and cocktails and food options including charcuterie boards and cheese plates on offer.

Founded by Chris Denman and Stevie Waite, Tomcat draws inspiration from the couple’s previous businesses, Kerbside, Fourth Wall and Manhattan Line.

The venue will enter an exclusive partnership agreement with cognac producers Remy Martin. This venture allows visitors to access their own personal bottle of Remy Martin and Louis XIII from a lockable closet kept in The Boiler Room.

Tomcat and The Boiler Room are open Thursday 5pm–1am and from Friday to Sunday 5pm–3am.
