Following a pop-up stint last year, brothers Michael and Ehab Botros have opened a permanent eatery and bar just off Pier Street.

“Altona is growing rapidly with a diverse crowd of young families, couples and singles who still want to experience Melbourne’s vibrant caf culture and night life.  We wanted to open a space where people could have a good time without having to go into the city,” said Michael.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus feature a mix of Australian fusion dishes such as boozy beetroot and lillet house cured trout, Korean BBQ wagyu burger and whole braised lamb shoulder. The venue also has a drinks list put together by Pete Giannaris (ex The Press Club, Gazi and Blue Diamond), including craft beers and espresso martinis.

Michael and Ehab bring 20 years of hospitality and design experience, and have taken inspiration from Altona’s seaside and industrial landscapes.

The newly renovated double storey space seats 90 and features a take away cafe on the ground level, with a bar and dining room upstairs, which will house non-ticketed and ticketed events throughout the year including DJ’s and live music.

“Music and food is such an important element in our lives it only made sense to reflect that in our venue,” said Michael.

Two Bros on Blyth is located at 51 Blyth Street. The eatery will be open for breakfast and lunch seven days 6.30am–5.30pm and for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday 5.30pm–10pm with a late night snack menu 10pm–12pm on Friday and Saturday, when the venue will open until 1am.
