The Stalactites Group has confirmed they are behind the purchase of two of Made Establishment’s Jimmy Grants stores.
Made’s portfolio of restaurants went up for sale after the group entered administration, with rumours swirling the Greek restaurant group had made the move on the Jimmy Grants locations.
Stalactites Group now owns the former Jimmy Grants sites in Emporium Melbourne and Fitzroy and has plans to launch their Hella Good souvlaki concept in both locations.
“Our family has been serving Greek cuisine to Melburnians for over 40 years and we are lucky we can continue to do so,” says Nicole Papasavas, managing director of Hella Good.
The group is making efforts to recruit former Jimmy Grants employees into the new Hella Good locations as well as their iconic restaurant, Stalactites in Melbourne’s CBD.
“We feel very sad about what’s happened with Made Establishment Group, however, with this opportunity to take on these two great Jimmy Grants stores, we are doing what we can to support the staff and rework them back into our business,” says Papasavas.
Hella Good Emporium is slated to open in mid-2020, with the Fitzroy location launching later in the year.
