After the success of the inaugural Commercial Drinks Show last year, the industry event is back for 2018 with a new look and name.
Relaunching in September as Drinks Collective Show, the Melbourne event is solely dedicated to Australia’s $16-billion on-premise liquor industry.
After extensive research within the industry, Drinks Collective has been reimagined to cater specifically to the needs of the industry and myriad businesses that exist within it.
Show ambassadors Kirrily Waldhorn (Beer Partner), David Messum (Wine Curator), Nigel Weisbaum (Spirits Ambassador) and Mitch Wilson (Bar Ambassador) have provided crucial input to the evolution of the event and will bring their expertise to the 2018 show.
“The natural progression of last year’s event into Drinks Collective is an exciting shift and represents the stirring changes happening within Australia’s liquor industry,” says Waldhorn. “We’ve worked with the event team to create a show and content that has been specifically tailored to reflect current industry trends and demands.”
As well as showcasing the latest in drink offerings, Drinks Collective will provide three days of free educational sessions and masterclasses designed to provide practical advice to industry members. Guests will learn everything from curating the perfect beer menu or wine list to the best business models for bars and how to execute paired tasting sessions.
Drinks Collective will take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 10-12 September.
