Hatted Southgate restaurant, Pure South Dining, will commence a major expansion extending its operation over two levels, before relaunching later in 2016.
The new offering will allow customers to continue to enjoy its quality Tasmanian produce, with views of the Melbourne CBD and the Yarra River.
Following the development, which is set to commence this month, Pure South Dining will offer a variety of spaces within the restaurant.
Co-owner Philip Kennedy said Pure South Dining looks forward to welcoming patrons, whether for morning coffee, a beer and oysters in the afternoon, or a fine dining experience in the evening.
“We will have such a variety of spaces within the two floors, there will be something to suit everyone, whatever they are in the mood for,” said Kennedy.
Melbourne design and architecture practice Herbert & Mason has developed the project’s design and fit-out. The firm’s portfolio includes Barangaroo in Sydney, Meatsmith by Andrew McConnell in Collingwood, The Association in London and Australia House in Japan.
Pure South Dining's final service before the expansion works commence will be on 30 April, with the relaunch expected to take place in mid-2016.
