Victorian-based gin distillery, Four Pillars, has for the second time taken out a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
After first winning a Double Gold in 2014, Four Pillars’ Rare Dry backed it up this year and was the only Australian gin to do so in 2016, Good Food reports.
The Double Gold title is awarded to a spirit that earns a gold medal from every judge in its class.
Four Pillars was founded in 2013 by distiller Cameron MacKenzie, branding expert Matt Jones and PR guru Stuart Gregor who said “To win once, in 2014, might be seen as good fortune, to win a second just two years later in 2016 with the same gin, firmly puts us on the dais as one of the great gins of the world.
“This is an enormous triumph for Cam and the team at the distillery and incredibly timely as our first shipment to the USA leaves our shores in less than three weeks,” he said.
