Melbourne-based chef, Scott Pickett has appointed Anthony Musarra to the position of operations manager of his group of restaurants.
As operations manager, Musarra will oversee the day-to-day functions of Estelle Bistro and Estelle by Scott Picket along with Pickett’s external events catering service, Mistress Estelle.
Musarra brings a wealth of experience to the role, which includes two decades working in some of Sydney and Melbourne’s best hotels and restaurants. For the past ten years, Musarra has been working for the Van Haandel Group’s Stokehouse restaurant, where he oversaw the move of the venue to Melbourne’s CBD along with many other changes and developments. Musarra amicably left the Van Haandel Group in October 2015.
“It’s great to have someone with Anthony’s experience to help with the day-to-day running of the businesses and to ensure we continue to improve and evolve,” says Pickett. “His presence will take some of the pressure off, leaving me more time and freedom to run my kitchens and create new and exciting dishes and developments.”
Musarra says that he too his excited to be working across Pickett’s growing portfolio of restaurants.
“With the bistro and ESP, Scott has created two great dining environments that are both familiar and contemporary at the same time,” says Musarra.
“It's this approach that I love. I'm looking forward to contributing to the evolution of both together with some exciting plans for the future.”
