Melbourne-based restaurant app, Liven, has teamed up with Uber, offering users transport to and from restaurants, on request.
Available on iOS and Android phones, Liven offers discounts that last for a full 12 months to a number of Melbourne restaurants and entertainment venues including Heirloom, Papa Goose, Miyako and Caf Republic.
With Uber’s integration users can now choose to ‘Get an Uber’ and select between an UberX and UberBLACK to take them to and from their meal.
Co-founder of Liven, David Ballerini said, “As an on-demand restaurant discount app we felt that the integration of an on-demand transport solution was a perfect fit for our users. The initial response from users has been extremely positive, and everyone is excited to see it in action.”
Liven also offers diners the option to share the savings they’ve made from the discounted restaurant offer with a charity of their choice. The Save & Donate feature allows diners to offer either 25, 50, 75 or 100 percent of their savings to charities including the RSPCA, The Royal Children’s Hospital, beyondblue, The Salvation Army and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Launched in Melbourne in 2014, Liven has plans to expand its coverage nationwide early next year, and will be launching in Sydney this December.
