Petersham’s recently opened Majestic Gourmet Grocers is launching a dinner menu in its restaurant, Majestic Harvest.
Majestic Harvest’s head chef Steve Wellstead has created a menu of dishes created largely from the daily harvest of Majestic’s on-site market, Mercado Europa.
The dishes are predominantly European, with options including BBQ octopus with avocado, rocket, feta, baby beets and hazelnuts; crispy pork ear, pork and pistachio terrine with cavolo nero, pickled gherkins & truffle oil; and a whole shoulder of lamb with quinoa, bell pepper, chilli, mint, coriander and lime salad and gremolata. Sweets include roast fig feuilletine with pistachio mousse and pomegranate syrup.
“We’ve opened BYO to meet the demand for dinner from our customers, but are expecting our liquor license any day now,” said Majestic Harvest co-owner Warren Landsman. “When we do, we look forward to offering a spectacular drinks list featuring both Australian and European craft beer, wines and spirits.”
Mercardo Europa opened in July and offers a variety of fresh and seasonal produce, artisan baked goods, charcuterie e fromage, floristry, seafood and free range meats.
The business is co-owned by Carlos Ascencao, Tim and Cheryl Reen and Warren Landsman.
