"Fine drinks without pretence" is on offer at one of St Kilda's most recent bar openings, Love&Dysfunction.
Located on Grey Street, Love&Dysfunction is operated by London-born Reg Ridealgh and serves vintage cocktails in a laid-back environment with a food menu that's designed to be shared.
"We're big fans of charcuterie and cheese boards but we're not afraid of putting them on a menu next to share plates such as Asian pork noodle balls or lamb kofta," said Ridealgh.
Love&Dysfunction's craft cocktails and range of top shelf spirits are served in classic style in vintage glassware, with signatures include Vieux Carre Cocktail, Bloody and Sandy and the classic Southside.
A list of predominantly Victorian craft beers and wine are also on offer in the bar's courtyard space.
The front bar boasts retro phones and cut glass decanters complementing ornate windows and the building's early 20th century heritage. After working their way through the dimly lit, prohibition-style bar, guests find chesterfield couches and an Art Deco inspired mural.
