Noosa’s Boathouse restaurant was evacuated on Tuesday afternoon after smoke began to billow from the building.
Restaurant owner Phil Bradford said that smoke began to billow out of the wall of the venue at around 2.30pm.
“Something has obviously gone between the fire duct and the wall,” Bradford told The Sunshine Coast Daily.
“There’s been about 160,000 bucks spent on the place in the last six months so I’m unsure what it is. There’s only smoke, no flames.”
A spokesperson for the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said that four fire crews were called to the scene and had the incident under control within a matter of minutes.
