Vietnamese eatery, Banoi will open at Brisbane Showgrounds this week and will be the Melbourne based brand’s third venue.
Owners and cousins Michael Nham and Viet Nguyen will share the recipes of their childhood – a collection of dishes passed down by their grandmother, but with a twist of modern culture.
Diners can expect bowls of pho topped with slow-poached chicken breast; fresh rice paper rolls filled with pork belly, pumpkin puree and candied chilli; and vermicelli noodles with lemongrass beef and imperial spring rolls.
Drinks such as Vietnamese coffee and Kumquat lemonade will complement bao, banh mi, and Cao Lau noodles. A specialty wine and beer menu has also been created with both local and regional options available.
Banoi forms part of the King Street dining precinct, which is set to become a hub of 40 tenants.
