Merivale has added The Vic on the Park in Sydney’s Marrickville to its portfolio. The pub is Merivale’s second Inner West property, joining Queens Hotel on Enmore Road.
“The Vic has long been at the heart of Marrickville, a vibrant community hub where people of all ages and walks of life can come together,” says Justin Hemmes, Merivale CEO.
“We have loved being part of the Inner West since opening Queens last year and can’t wait to take on what is undoubtedly an important and cherished venue in the area.”
Merivale will receive the keys to the property on 13 November. There are no plans for a major refurbishment and the venue will trade as normal for the foreseeable future, with a renewed focus on its food offering.
Merivale will soon open the doors to Mr Liquor’s Dirty Italian Disco, a pop-up venue with Mike Eggert and Jemma Whiteman. Located in what was the bottle shop of the Tennyson Hotel, the drive-way eatery will launch late October, serving up American-style Italian for a six-month stint.
