UNICEF and Australia’s leading chefs have teamed up to #CookForSyria on 18 June to celebrate Syrian cuisine and raise funds for children affected by one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises.
UNICEF Australia ambassador Adam Liaw will host a dinner on 18 June at Three Blue Ducks Rosebery in Sydney as part of a month-long national fundraising initiative.
More than 20 chefs will come together to create signature dishes with a Syrian twist including Kylie Kwong, Jordan Toft, Palisa Anderson, Monty Koludrovic, Duncan Welgemoed, Paul Carmichael, Lennox Hastie, Andy Bowdy and Josh and Julie Niland.
Anderson will serve up pork sausages with a Zoug-inspired nahm prik chilli relish, Kwong will bring back her crispy organic saltbush cakes with Syrian spices and Josh and Julie Niland will create a smoked eel moutabbal and beetroot jam doughnut.
Throughout June, restaurateurs, chefs, bakers and café owners from around the country are invited to take part in #CookForSyria by putting a Syria- inspired twist on one of their favourite signature dishes (or creating a new dish) and donating $5 from each sale of the dish.

Tickets for The Three Blue Ducks dinner are $280 per person and include canapés, cocktails on arrival, a shared feast and wine.
