Trang Restaurant, a popular Vietnamese eatery is Brisbane’s West End, has come under fire for alleged food safety breaches after several diners claimed to have received food poisoning from the venue.
According to the Daily Mail, eight diners contracted salmonella after visiting the venue between February and March, sparking an inspection of the venue.
Food safety inspectors allegedly found raw chicken defrosting among dirty dishes underneath a kitchen sink, a pigeon under a preparation bench and slime-ridden buckets used for storing food.
Health inspectors have since filed a complaint in the Brisbane’s Magistrate’s Court accusing the Trang Restaurant of serious breaches of food safety laws.
