Sydney’s north shore has welcomed a new Middle Eastern restaurant with the opening of Lillah in Lane Cove.
Owner Trevor Blye brought in Middle Eastern chef Roy Ner from Nour restaurant to consult on the menu, which highlights traditional family recipes with a modern spin.
The lunch and dinner menu features premium meats, such as beef and lamb, which are slow-cooked on the custom-made Parilla-style grill. The smokey meats also feature in the Lebanese laffah rolls, topped with cabbage slaw, burnt eggplant and garlic toum.
Lillah also offers a range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, such as the falafel and raw root vegetable salad, heirloom tomatoes and radish fattoush and the king brown mushroom hummus bowl.
in mind. Full of flavour and spice, these dishes promise to showcase the diversity and spectrum of traditional flavours at brunch, lunch or dinner.
Unique hummus bowls add difference to the menu, with chargrilled lamb and chicken joining flavoured forces with fresh Turkish salsa, golden beetroot slaw and smoked labneh.
On weekends, Lillah will serve up Middle Eastern brunch, featuring dishes such as spiced Black Angus and potato gratin, beetroot fritter and confit salmon and roast cauliflower croque madame.
The classic cocktail list, consulted by Amir Halpert (The Owl House), is underpinned by fresh, Middle Eastern flavours, including The Avocado Fizz, made with avocado and coriander, and the signature cocktail, Lillah, made with gin, Green Chartreuse, Dom Benedictine, lime, egg white, activated charcoal and black salt.
Lebanese wine and local craft beer will be on offer, alongside Veneziano coffee.
