Daniel Armon has joined Serafino Wines in the heart of McLaren Vale in South Australia, as executive chef of Serafino Restaurant.
Armon brings extensive experience to the role, having worked in well-known kitchens across Adelaide, including The Playford Hotel and Bartons Restaurant at The Caledonian Hotel.
Speaking on his appointment, Armon says he’s looking forward to working with the region’s best produce and allowing his flair for Italian cooking to shine.
“For me, cooking is like an art, it’s a form of expression,” he says. “The restaurant team at Serafino really take pride in creating a superb dining experience for every guest, and I’m excited to be part of such a passionate, dedicated team.”
Armon is currently redeveloping the menu, which will be Italian-inspired with a focus on seasonal produce.
Serafino director Maria Maglieri says it’s exciting to see the impact Armon will have on the restaurant.
“Daniel has already proven himself as an asset to our team, he brings such professionalism and passion to the kitchen,” she says.
“Our next menu, which Daniel is in the process of developing, will have an Italian influence with a French twist, using only the best seasonal local produce.”
