Deliveroo has expanded its footprint across Australia, launching 16 zones in areas such as Hobart, Newcastle and Cairns.
The company says the new areas will allow 1.5 million more Australians to access the service, provide job opportunities for 500 riders and allow up to 1,200 restaurants to offer delivery to customers.
Along with debut delivery areas Hobart, Newcastle and Cairns, Deliveroo are also continuing to expand in Melbourne (Box Hill, Doncaster, Ferntree Gully, Heidelberg); Sydney (Bankstown, Five Dock, Campsie, Hornsby and Barrabeen); Perth (Morley, Joondalup, Scarborough) and Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast.
“We are creating flexible working options for thousands of riders, generating more opportunities for restaurants to access new customers and grow their revenues, and allowing customers to order from an even greater selection of amazing foods,” says Deliveroo country manager Levi Aron.
