The finalists come from across Australia and New Zealand and include James Bond-Kennedy (IGNI, South Geelong); Kezia Kristel (Icebergs, Sydney); Daniel Jakobsson (private chef, Sydney); Joshua Gregory (EXP., Wallsend); Camille Saint M’Leux (Urbane, Brisbane); Abhijit Dey (SO, Auckland); Giada Grilli (Lillius, Auckland) and Andrew Tranter (Pescatore, Christchurch).
The contenders will now compete in a cook-off against each other at the Sydney Seafood School in Sydney where one winner will be selected by a judging panel comprising Peter Gilmore (Quay), Jock Zonfrillo (Orana), Christine Manfield (chef), Dan Hunter (Brae) and Danielle Alvarez (Fred’s).
The Pacific winner will compete in the global finals which will be held in 2020.
