Sydney Good Food Month will return this October with a number of high-profile chefs headlining the series of one-off dining experiences.
The feature programme heroes ground-breaking chefs including local and interstate legends such as Peter Gilmore, Monty Koludrovic, Clayton Wells, Katherine Sabbath, Shannon Martinez and Jock Zonfrillo.
International heavyweights Alain Passard (L’Arpège), Hiroyuki Sato (Hakkoku) and Thomas Frebel (INUA, ex-Noma) will also grace our shores.
The epic line-up will see dining experiences held at eight iconic Sydney venues: Automata, Icebergs, Hubert, Quay, Mary’s Underground, Otto, Pendolino and QT.

Sydney Good Food Month Feature Events
On Sunday 6 October, creative baking master Katherine Sabbath with will celebrate her latest cookbook with an epic cake party, High Tea with Katherine Sabbath at QT.
Shannon Martinez, the chef behind Melbourne’s trailblazing vegan venues Smith & Daughters and Smith & Deli, will dish up a completely vegan riff on classic Southern fare with a multi-course menu executed in collaboration with the Mary’s Underground tea. Mary’s music director Joe Muller will also select a band for the dinner, held on Thursday 10 October.
Iceberg’s Dining Room will welcome Hiroyuki Satio — the chef behind ultra-exclusive six-seat Tokyo restaurant Hakkoku. Together with Iceberg’s executive chef Monty Koludrovic, Satio will transform the venue’s private dining room into a sushi bar for a 20+ course omakase. Just two 20 person sittings will be held.
French chef Alain Passard of world number 8 restaurant Arpège will take up residence at two-hatted Restaurant Hubert on Sunday 20 October.
On Thursday 24 October Peter Gilmore will team up with Jock Zonfrillo to showcase Australian cuisine and native ingredients.
Both dinners will be hosted by restaurant critic Jill Dupleix.
Former head of recipe development at Copenhagen’s Noma, Thomas Frebel will join chef Clayton Wells for two events at Wells’ two-hatted Automata.
On Sunday 27 October, the annual Young Chefs Lunch will shine a light on the city’s rising talent, as nominated by Australia’s best chefs. Good Food’s national food & drink writer Callan Boys will host the pasta party at Italian restaurant Otto.
