Barbecue chicken shop Chargrill Charlie’s will open the doors to Sydney store number 12 on Saturday 10 August.
Located in Drummoyne on Lyons Road, the store features indoor and outdoor dining with a capacity for 100 customers.
The store will offer the usual suspects including chargrilled chickens made fresh throughout the day, 15 rotating salads, chips, wedges, burgers, chicken schnitzels DIY dinner plates and desserts.
To celebrate the opening, the team will give away a free quarter chicken with chips from 12-1pm and a whole chicken with salad from 5-6pm.
Co-owner Ryan Sher spoke to Hospitality in 2017 about the decision not to franchise Chargrill Charlie’s, and said the company planned to open three stores a year up until 2020 or 2022.
“The way we support stores is with a totally different mentality than with a franchise model, because they are legitimately our partners,” Sher told Hospitality.
It appears the family-owned company is on track with expansion plans, opening locations in Annandale and Frenchs Forest over the past two years and its first in Melbourne in April this year.
