Hospitality giant Solotel will close its Parramatta restaurant Chophouse on 21 December.
Solotel CEO Justine Baker announced the decision to staff on Monday 9 December, saying she was proud of the experience the team had delivered since opening the venue 14 months ago. The group is aiming to relocate staff to other Solotel venues across Sydney.
“Following the success of the Chophouse brand in Sydney’s CBD, we were excited about bringing the concept to Parramatta,” says Baker. “Unfortunately, it hasn’t quite panned out as we had planned and now, we think the best way forward for the Chophouse brand is for us to focus on the CBD venue.
“Over 30 years of experience and serving millions of guests a year across close to 30 different bars and restaurants has taught us that our industry is one that is constantly changing. And we’ll continue to change with it.”
