Australia’s hospitality community is rallying together to raise money for the victims of the bushfires.
From tables at restaurants that are usually booked out months in advance to cocktails and feasts, here are some of the businesses doing their bit to help those in need.
Porteño
A feast will be hosted on 13 January 2020 at the venue’s original Cleveland Street location in Sydney. Tickets are $185 for food and drink, with all proceeds donated to communities in need.
Attica
The fine diner will donate all proceeds from their 7 January 2020 dinner service to The Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities, CFA Vic, the Victorian Bushfire Appeal and Wildlife Victoria‘s bushfire appeal.
There are four tables for two up for auction for the service, with bidding starting at $600. Email meet@attica.com.au with your best offer; winning parties will be contacted from 9am on 7 January.
Africola
Chef and owner Duncan Welgemoed is auctioning off seven events to support SA Country Fire Service, Vinteloper (Adelaide Hills winemakers), Adelaide Hills Wine Region Fire Appeal and Tilbrook Estate.
Interested parties can register their details for the live auctions, which will include five dinners for 10 people curated by some of Australia’s best chefs, sommeliers and hospitality professionals.
Bidding for each event starts at $5,000 with more details to be released shortly.

Merivale
CEO Justin Hemmes personally donated $500,000 to the NSW RFS and is asking the public to help Merivale reach a target of $1 million. Donations can be made here.
The Everleigh
The Bar Bushfire Shake Up at Melbourne’s The Everleigh will see owners Michael and Zara Madrusan collaborate with Ben Shewry, Andrew McConnell and Peter Gunn to raise money for the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery. Each chef will design their own pizza which will sell for $10 a slice.
On the drinks front, 16 venues including Black Pearl, The Beaufort and more will sling $15 signature cocktails for an hour at a time.
Tickets are $20 each with all proceeds from the 13 January event donated.
Sydney Cooks for the Bush
Jacqui Challinor from Nomad in Surry Hills is teaming up with 30 restaurants to raise money for the Red Cross. On Sunday 12 January, chefs including Alex Pavoni, James Viles, Andy Bowdy and Danielle Alvarez will come together to create a full a la carte brunch menu. While tickets to the brunch are sold out, a takeaway menu is available from 10am.
Continental Deli
The Newtown location in Sydney is selling slices of blueberry and ricotta cake for $10, with all proceeds donated to firefighters.
Victor Churchill, Vic’s Meats & Vic’s Meat Market Day
100 per cent of sales from all three stores on 11 January will be donated to WIRES, the Red Cross and NSW RFS.
Isabel
The Bondi ‘non-traditional’ izakaya is putting all profits and tips to WIRES for the next two weeks.
Latorre & Dutch Coffee
10 per cent of total purchases will be donated to organisations including the Australian Red Cross, NSW Rural Fire Service and the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.
Arthur
Tristan Rosier’s Sydney restaurant are donating 100 per cent of the proceeds of their house spritz to the NSW Rural Fire Service. Sip on a blood orange number for a good cause.

100 per cent of tips at the Melbourne bar are being donated to those helping protect the community.
Smith & Daughters & Smith & Deli
Shannon Martinez’s Melbourne-based vegan eateries will host a series of events to raise money for wildlife charities and victims of the bushfire crisis. More details to come.

Industry Beans
The coffee concept will donate 10 per cent of retail coffee bean sales to the Red Cross until the end of January. Industry Beans has locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Australian Venue Co.
$1 for every schooner and $2 for every pint of Furphy sold in VIC, NSW, WA & SA and every XXXX Gold sold in Qld will be donated to the National Bushfire Disaster Appeal.
Available at all Australian Venue Co-owned businesses across the country including The Winery, Untied, The Rook, Bungalow 8 and Manly Wine in Sydney.
