Two of Melbourne’s most prevalent ‘wine guys’ Christian McCabe (Embla, Lesa) and Patrick Sullivan have teamed up to open a retail wine store.
Punchin’ Bottles will see a focus on Victorian wines and provide a space for producers to get their products into the hands of consumers.
“It’s pretty hard to get Victorian wines outside of Victoria, so it’ll be great to create a space for producers in the city to shine a light on what they’re doing,” says McCabe.
Located at 124 Russell Street in the CBD, the store will offer a rotating schedule of wines from small batch to imported bottles from Europe.
The store will also host weekly in-house tastings and collaborations with local and international friends with Gareth Belton from Gentle Folk Wines the first followed by Campbell Burton.
