Middle Eastern eatery Hello Habibi has opened its doors at Wetherill Park in greater western Sydney.
Located at the Greenway Plaza, co-owners Sam Ayyash and George Khamo have launched a venue that celebrates their Jordanian and Syrian backgrounds.
“For Arabs in particular, good hospitality is simply not good enough. It is extraordinary food and hospitality that we’re raring to show off at Hello Habibi,” says Ayyash.
Riad ‘Ray’ Alssaad has been appointed head chef after spending more than 20 years working in hotels, resorts and restaurants across Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
Alssaad’s menu features a combination of regional dishes from Damascus, Amman and Jerusalem made with local produce alongside some more modern interpretations.
“We’ve designed our menu to showcase some of the best elements of cuisine from myriad Middle Eastern cities, towns and traditions,” says Ayyash.
Diners can expect a shish tawook sandwich alongside shawarma, charcoal chicken with bread, garlic sauce and pickles and a range of pizzas, burgers and wraps.
Hello Habibi is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
