After undergoing $1.3 million renovation Bonny View Hotel — formerly Bonny View Tavern — will reopen on Thursday 20 August.
Brisbane-based architect’s Push have transformed the eight decade old venue, located in the on of the city’s northern suburbs, Bald Hills.
The outside now sports a contemporary look, with each areas within the venue renovated to create a series of spaces to suit any occasion. The now modern dining room provides a relaxed, family-oriented setting for casual diners, long lunches and celebrations, while the outdoor bistro offers an open air-deck nearby a kids’ area. There’s even a dog-friendly zone, complete with puppy snacks.
Gastro-pub style meals are on the menu. Think classics plus a range of quality Riverina Angus steaks and new mains such as salmon fillets, plant-based bangers & mash and Bonny View Chicken Kiev. The grazing menu is perfect for alfresco dining, featuring pulled chicken tacos, wagyu brisket croquettes and baked half-shell scallops.
The front bar will see live acoustic music on the weekends, screens for live games and a TAB offering. The public bar leads to a covered outdoor deck and offers menu of pub classics alongside the Bonny View signature dish — the chicken parmi hot dog.
The Bonny View Hotel will be open Monday–Saturday from 10am to 4am and Sunday from 10am to 1.30am.
