The Sydney Opera House is opening two of its restaurants for the first time since March.
Opera Bar and Opera Kitchen are both welcoming back patrons from 10 September with new food, wine and cocktail menus.
“Nothing is more important to us than the safety of everyone on site, and we are closely following NSW Health guidelines and advice,” says Sydney Opera House CEO Louise Herron AM.
“We look forward to welcoming people back to our theatres, tours, other dining venues and shops soon.”
All-day dining is on the cards at Opera Kitchen, and Australian producers are at the heart of the offering.
The Solotel-run Opera Bar is also switching things up, focusing on Australian wines and spirits and launching a new food offering in place of the raw bar.
“There will be seafood platters and we’ve got a Japanese bar popping up [with] sake and hand rolls, but all good Aussie seafood,” Chef Matt Moran said on Today.
The venue will have a capacity of 300 people and will be adhering to all COVID Safe requirements.
“We have a COVID safety officer and all the things in place to minimise the risk of that [COVID cases] from happening,” said Moran.
Guests can also book tables at Opera Bar and Opera Kitchen for the first time and redeem $5 parking.
