Brassall’s Mihi Tavern has undergone an extensive $2.5 million renovation, with the venue partially revealing its new look on Saturday 10 October when the bistro and sports bare re-opened. The beer garden and kids play area will then open on Wednesday 14 October.
The venue, which is located in the Ipswich suburb of Brassall, was damaged by flash flooding in February this year.
A modernised dining space now offers an indoor/outdoor experience for customers, with booth seating designed for casual weeknight dinners as well as long lunches and celebrations.
The indoor bistro opens into an outdoor dining space with BBQ and an adjoining lounge and bar area.
The sports bar and beer garden offer place for locals to gather, drink and watch sport — dogs can enjoy the beer garden too.
Old classics sit alongside new additions on the re-vamped menu. There’s schnitties and parmies, including the including the Papa Grande Mexican Parmy with jalapeno, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, chips & salad and the Mooloolaba Parmy topped with Mooloolaba king prawns, ham, white sauce, cheese, chips & salad, plus pizzas, burgers, sangas, hotdogs and a roast. The snack line-up includes pulled pork nachos, bundy run wings, cheeseburger spring rolls and pork croquettes.
‘Mix and Match Kids Meals’ allow kids to pick their base, protein, veggies and sauce.
