Melbourne’s Longrain restaurant is set to reopen for dine-in trade under Chef and Restaurateur Scott Pickett.
Pickett secured the 15-year-old venue from John and Lisa Van Haandel in July after they announced plans to close the restaurant in May.
Longrain is slated to launch on 4 November under veteran Head Chef Arté Assavakavinvong and Operations Manager Natasha Firman.
The venue has undergone a refresh as has the menu, which will encompass two banquets: the signature ($65) and the deluxe ($95).
Dishes include betel leaf with seared scallop, finger lime and salmon roe; green papaya salad; Moreton Bay bug cake wrapped in crispy bean curd and stir-fried red curry with kangaroo.
Upstairs bar Longsong has also undergone a transformation and will operate as ‘The Loft’. The venue will have a heavy focus on drinks along with snacks.
Longrain will be open for dinner from Tuesday until Saturday from 5:00pm from 4 November.
