November will see the return of Brisbane Good Food Month, with the full programme of events revealed on Thursday 22 October as tickets go on sale.
Alanna Sapwell will bring popular Noosa pop-up Esmay to Brisbane’s Baja Restaurant for two nights, while Adam Wolfers, Alex Munoz and Louis Tikaram will team up for a night at Stanley Restaurant in an event that celebrates their time together at Sydney restaurant Bentley.
Donna Chang has created a yum cha high tea in collaboration with Gelato Messina and ZA ZA TA Bar & Kitchen at Ovolo The Valley will host the first-ever vegetarian iteration of Young Chefs Lunch.
Also back on the agenda in 2020 is the Friends of Good Food Month event series. This year the programme will include dining experiences at leading Brisbane venues including Montrachet, The Golden Pig, Three Blue Ducks, The Gresham Bar, Popolo and Mamasan.
“We’re thrilled to return to Brisbane for our seventh sensational year in the River City,” said Venessa Cowell, Head of Nine Food Events. “This year’s programme celebrates the homegrown talent that Queenslanders are so fortunate to have on their doorstep. Brisbane’s ever-growing dining scene has never tasted so good and we’re proud to be able to shine a light on the rising young talent of the industry, as well as bring together some of the most awarded chefs for a flavour-packed month of dining experiences.”
COVID-19 safety measures will include reduced venue capacities, restrictions on group bookings, no shared tables between mixed parties, minimum 1.5m distance between tables, and staggered arrival times for guests, plus the team are working together with restaurant partners to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and cleaning are implemented to make
sure guests feel comfortable and enjoy the experience safely.
