W Melbourne has unveiled new details about its hospitality offering.
Cocktail bar Curious is set to open with the hotel’s launch in February 2021.
The venue will have its own entrance on Market Street, with the bar located down a spiral staircase.
Proof & Co have curated the cocktail menu, with coffee featuring as a key ingredient.
“There is an exciting energy in the brand that fuels creativity and we’re excited to see Curious to come to life,” says Charlie Ainsbury, spirits evangelist at Proof & Co.
Drinks include A Curious Ristretto, which is a take on an espresso martini, but W’s version will be sealed with beeswax and emit a nutmeg smoke.
The venue will highlight boutique Australian and international spirits and wine, with a focus on Melbourne-made products.
W Melbourne Executive Chef Jihun Kim has designed the menu, which will revolve around snacks and small plates.
Curious will join W Melbourne’s other venues including Warabi and Lollo restaurants and Culprit cafe/wine bar.
