After a public tender process, Solotel Group has been appointed as the new operator of Sydney Opera House venue Opera Kitchen for a 12-month term.
Opera Kitchen joins Solotel Group’s stable of high-profile venues, including Aria, Barangaroo House, The Golden Sheaf and Opera Bar.
Of the appointment, Solotel Group CEO Elliot Solomon says, “We are thrilled to create another fantastic hospitality experience for Sydney in this iconic location, and to further strengthen our working relationship with the Sydney Opera House.”
In the announcement, Solomon revealed that the Opera Kitchen venue will be reinvigorated as a market food hall experience, drawing diverse inspiration from both Italian and Japanese menu influences.
“In the morning, there’ll be a delicious Italian bakery. From lunch, a pasta bar and Japanese-style ramen and poke bowls will be on offer right through until late,” he announced.
Solotel Group will reopen Opera Kitchen in late March. Further details on the food and beverage concept will be announced shortly.
