Matt Moran is set to launch a new restaurant with the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Crafted by Matt Moran has taken over the former Chiswick site, which closed its doors in January, and will officially open on 26 March.
The site has undergone a redesign and is a partnership between Moran and The Fresh Collective.
Moran says the gallery holds a special place in his heart after a working relationship that spans more than seven years.
“ … Grazing your way through our brunch, lunch or afternoon tea menu, while inside one of Sydney’s cultural hubs is unbeatable in my opinion,” he says.
“In fact, many of the dishes have been inspired by the unique space itself.”
Crafted by Matt Moran will offer brunch, lunch and afternoon tea with the menu revolving around Mediterranean-inspired and seafood-leaning dishes.
Diners can choose from Sydney rock oysters, crab sliders and blueberry and almond crostata for brunch or settle in for lunch with dishes ranging from taramasalata with crisps to beef carpaccio with rocket, fennel, radicchio and parmesan and grilled swordfish with Italian greens.
Samantha Payne is behind the beverage offering which revolves around an all-Australian wine list, cocktails, beers, ciders, Champagne and non-alcoholic options.
Crafted by Matt Moran is open Wednesday to Friday from 11am and 10am on weekends and will close at 4pm.
