Solotel’s Sydney pub The Abercrombie is set to reopen with three different venue concepts on 23 December.
The newly refurbished multi-level space will be home to a main bar and club space, rooftop cocktail bar Casa Rosa and wine bar Lil Sis.
While the concepts will have their own individual trademark they will work to complement each other within the all-encompassing hospitality site.
“Our vision for The Abercrombie is a welcoming, day to late-night destination for Sydney that delivers a diverse range of experiences,” says Solotel CEO Elliot Solomon.
“We want it to be a place that the local community feel is their own, whether that’s picking up a bottle of wine, enjoying a slice of pizza in the beer garden, or soaking up the sun on the rooftop. The Abercrombie is a place you can come to any day, night, or early morning and have a fun experience.”
The ground floor will include a main bar, beer garden and a performance and club space.
Level two of the building will be home to cocktail bar Casa Rosa which will deliver an Italian-inspired fare to the backdrop of Italo-disco DJ performances.
The drinks list covers cocktails such as the pét nat sgroppino with rhubarb and blood orange sorbet; the Clementine made with gin, mandarin and Amaro Montenegro and the Ivy League with cognac, chinotto nero, coffee and habanero.
The snack-based bar menu will be available until midnight and will include blistered grapes with prosciutto and vincotto; yellowfin tuna tartare; pizza fritto with tomato and stracciatella, salted cod croquettes and crispy agnolotti with sausage, mozzarella and spicy tomato.
French-inspired wine bar Lil Sis will be located in the neighbouring building and will include a bar and bottle shop open until 3am.
Former Monopole Sommelier Zoe Brunton is curating the wine list which hones in “on producers that are organic, biodynamic and focus on sustainability as a whole.”
The food offering will encompass Pino’s and LP’s cured meats sliced to order, Ortiz anchovies with mussels escabeche and Gildas.
Guests can also order from a selection of jaffles with filling options such as triple cheese, Heinz spaghetti with cheddar and pastrami on rye with Swiss cheese, pickles and Russian dressing.
The Abercrombie bar and Lil Sis will operate seven days a week.
Casa Rosa will be open from Wednesday to Sunday.
