Sydney’s latest food precinct is now in full swing, with 15 eateries opening their doors to the dining public.
Sydney Place is a new food and lifestyle precinct from Lendlease and is home to a range of takeaway, casual and fine-dining venues that area located across multiple sites spanning hidden laneways and waterfront dining strips.
The precinct encompasses:
Ah Toy Lane: home to everyday dining concepts including Toastiesmith, Open Sesame, Dopa, Sushi Yuzen and C9 Gelato. Yasaka Ramen will launch later this year;
Sai Ying Lane: connected to Pitt Street and features quick, takeaway options including Kosta’s Sandwiches, Malay Chinese Noodle Bar and the second location of Federico Zanellato and Lorenzo Librino’s Lode and;
Underwood Street: a hidden alleyway with cosy cafes and bars such as Kingswood Coffee. It will also see the launch of Joel Best’s new Japanese-inspired restaurant and whiskey bar set to open in May.
There are a number of eateries that will open later in the year including the much-anticipated Jacksons on George relaunch by Maurice Terzini and DTLE; David Bae’s new Korean barbeque venue Leemiks and Matt Whiley’s new day-to-night bar Altfumeria.
Sydney’s affinity for food precincts shows no sign of slowing down, with diners responding well to destinations that offer a range of choices.
