The La Cabra team has welcomed another venue to their growing portfolio with a new location in Victoria’s Mornington opening this week.
It’s the first of two new La Cabra venues, with another eatery set to open in South Yarra on 29 June.
Founded by Victorians Joshua Smith, Derrick Chandra, and Sherinder Kohli, La Cabra currently has venues at Hawthorn, Hampton, St Kilda, and Carlton.
The new Mornington location is serving up a range of tacos and enchiladas along with the team’s modern take on classic Mexican dishes.
The Mornington menu will also feature much-loved dishes from the other La Cabra outposts.
Some of the highlights across the menu include cauliflower hot wings, crispy pork belly tacos, and stuffed jalapenos with marinated cheese, plus classics like burrito bowls, enchiladas, quesadillas, and fajitas.
“We’re excited to continue sharing the La Cabra fare with Melburnians,” says Chandra.
“We work closely with our local suppliers to create dishes which are an ode to Mexican cuisine.”
Drinks wise, expect margaritas, Mountain Goat beer on tap, and an impressive collection of tequila.
La Cabra is open daily for lunch and dinner, and also has rotating specials and weekend bottomless brunch.
To celebrate the opening, the Mornington venue will be serving $5 tacos, and buy-one-get-one-free margaritas for the next two weeks.
La Cabra is located at 111 Main Street, Mornington, Victoria.
