Located on the former site of Gilroy’s Hotel, The Belroy Hotel is set to open on 22 November in Sydney’s St Leonards.
The Belroy Hotel is the work of Garry McGrath of Sonenco Hotels (Barangaroo’s The Sussex Hotel) who also operated the former Gilroy’s Hotel.
The Belroy Hotel will host a sports bar downstairs, plus a terrace bar and bistro upstairs with a large wrap-around balcony and conservatory style space.
Both levels of The Belroy Hotel will serve a menu of elevated pub classics and a locally focused drinks offering.
Dishes on the menu include gourmet burgers; chicken and leek pie; butcher’s choice steaks; lamb ragu pappardelle; and roast chicken produced on the venue’s in-house French rotisserie.
Drinks-wise, guests can expect a range of signature cocktails including a Rhubi Spritz (rhubarb, grapefruit, soda), Lemon Sherbet Spritz (Absolut Citron, limoncello, lemon), and Northside (gin, lime, raspberry, mint).
Emilie Delalande of Sydney-based designers Studio Etic (Barangaroo House and Martinez) is behind the venue’s look which features terrazzo-topped tables, blue leather banquette seating, and plenty of natural light.
The Belroy Hotel is slated to open 22 November at 77 Christie Street, St Leonards, New South Wales.
