Bronte in Sydney’s east will have a new culinary addition in the form of European-influenced neighbourhood restaurant and bar Table Manners.
Slated to open in late-winter, Table Manners is being spearheaded by Sydney hospitality figure Alex Cameron who is known for his work with Franca, Parlar, and Armorica and most recently as consultant on Bobby’s in Cronulla and Bartiga in Double Bay.
The venue will host a six-seat bar, 75-seat dining room, and 10-seat private dining space and will be located in the former Wet Paint site on Macpherson Street.
Table Manners’ menu will send a nod to the cuisines of Italy, France, and United Kingdom with dishes such as crab pain perdu and crisp spaghetti with king prawns set to star on the debut offering.
“The opportunity to take the reins of the Wet Paint site after 23 years is something I am really excited about. I hope this site will continue to be the neighborhood venue for locals. An extension of their own home, one in which they visit time and time again,” says Cameron.
“Table manners is my first solo venture, putting down roots in my own backyard feels right as I bring my love of European dining to Bronte. For me, it’s a place to share what we love best, and for everyone to make memories over good food and wine.”
Drinks-wise, Cameron has crafted a wine list that balances between classic and modern producers with a spotlight on rarer varieties and great-value regions.
Interior architects Blainey North are behind Table Manners’ design which is expected to boast luxury and encourage long, slow dining.
Table Manners will be open for lunch Friday through to Sunday, and for drinks and dinner Wednesday through to Sunday.
