Brisbane is now enjoying a much larger Single O footprint with the roastery’s Newstead cafe unveiling a new look.
The cafe opened last year as a 16-seat coffee bar, and is now a fully fledged table service cafe with room for 29 patrons.
“When we first opened our cafe in Queensland last year, we got a great reception from the locals, and already started hatching a plan for an expanded space,” says Mike Brabant, CEO.
“Single O Newstead, with it’s extra space, dishes, coffees, and sustainability initiatives, gives us the chance to really showcase what we’re all about.”
The dine-in menu has been dialled up with plenty of new additions from a grazing plate with gravlax, lemon and dill kraut, boiled egg, creme fraiche, and rye to the signature avocado toast with achiote cashew cheese, pickled fennel, and chilli oil.
The cafe is also offering a number of takeaway food options including onigiri and the BAE – egg ham, tomato rice, and furikake crumb.
As always, rotating single origin batch brews are available as well as a new coffee flight that sees a single origin served in three different ways – filter espresso, flat white, and V60.
Luchetti Krelle are behind the cafe’s new design, which features banquette seating and materials that align with Single O’s sustainability ethos – think FSC and PETC-certified wood, upcycled metal pipes, and wallpaper made from Single O coffee bags.
The cafe is open seven days a week from 6:30am Monday to Friday and from 7:00am on weekends.
