With more than 50 venues already opened, Sydney waterfront precinct The Streets of Barangaroo, is set to welcome a new set of restaurants and bars within the recently completed Tower One, International Towers Sydney.
The new line-up includes the recently opened New Orleans inspired NOLA Smokehouse and Bar and contemporary Australian 12-Micron restaurant, dessert kitchen and bar, along with Shirt Bar; t; Bing’s Bao and Beer; Fujisaki; Sushi Hon; Meat & Wine Co.; and Melbourne’s Dukes Coffee Roasters’ two cafes: South by Dukes and North by Dukes.
Shirt Bar’s second venue, which opened earlier this year, pairs business shirts with coffee and dark spirits just like its sibling on Sussex Street. The Barangaroo site’s menu combines local, seasonal and sustainable produce with flavours inspired by South East Asia and Mexico, serving breakfast, lunch and bar snacks by former-MasterChef contestant Mindy Woods.
Due to open in May is French restaurant t, by the team behind Double Bay’s Vine. The menu is a blend of old and new world French cooking, with dishes including a selection of homemade charcuterie such as terrines and saucisson spiced with wild juniper as well as classics including blue eye grenobloise poached in citrus and vermouth with eggplant and pine mushrooms.
Also set to open in May is Lotus Dining’s Bings Bao & Beer, a retro-style eatery and bar serving baos like chicken schnitzel with chilli mayo and iceberg lettuce or caramelised pork with pickles and noodle bowls, such as Sichuan style minced pork with chilli. The drinks list features Bings’ own pale ales, created in collaboration with Sydney Brewery. Bings will be open for lunch through to dinner.
Fujisaki, another new venue from Lotus Dining, will open in September. The contemporary Nikkei restaurant and bar will feature a Peruvian-Japanese menu by executive chef Rose Ang, with the offering to range from tiradito, a Peruvian dish of raw fish, through to smoky dishes from the robata grill, all to share. Fujisaki will seat 110 and house a cellar with some 400 wines, as well as a large range of whiskey, sake and spirits.
