The Lamb Shop will be joining the King Street line up in Brisbane on 3 March.
Offering a modern spin on traditional souvlaki, The Lamb Shop already has a presence on the Gold Coast, opening its first store in Broadbeach in 2014.
Owner Peter Gloftis is preparing to launch the first Brisbane store, located at Brisbane Showgrounds.
Project director for the Brisbane Showgrounds, Andrew Hay said The Lamb Shop will be a welcome addition to King Street.
“We’re thrilled with the growing line up of impressive food and beverage retailers that we’ve curated for Brisbane’s most exciting precinct, and we’re sure The Lamb Shop is going to be hit with both those familiar with their Gold Coast offering, and those who have yet to try it.
“It’s local talent like this that makes King Street at the Brisbane Showgrounds an authentic Queensland dining destination. Lendlease creates the best places and ensuring we have the right retail mix is a vital component, so people can experience the best local talent and produce,” he said.
The Lamb Shop’s signature dish is its lamb souvlaki with hand cut chips and crumbled feta. It also offers bar snacks and small plates, alongside the more substantial whole slow roasted lamb shoulder.
Upon completion, King Street will be home to up to approximately 40 tenancies – mostly food and beverage businesses, including GG’s Espresso, The George, Fat Dumpling, Sushi & Nori and Hello Chicken.
