Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian will open at Westfield Penrith on Monday, 13 February.
Co-joined under one roof, but with their own distinctive dcor and interior design, the neighbouring diners offer fast counter service and broad menus incorporating quality ingredients and an affordable price tag.
There is shared indoor and outdoor seating and a communal bar, giving groups of diners the option to order from either counter and sit anywhere they wish or take their meals away.
At Fratelli Famous, customers build their own pizza by choosing from thin and crisp, sourdough, or gluten-free crusts; different sauces, cheeses and seasonings; and an extensive range of toppings. Nine signature pizzas are also available, including great balls of fire, spicy vegan and classic margherita. Pizzas are fast-fired in 90 seconds in custom-built, wood and gas fired ovens that are unique in Australia. Watch the ovens in action here.
There are also breakfast pizzas, dessert pizzas, build-your-own salads and a rainbow of house-made gelati. Drinks include thick shakes, house-brewed iced tea, Fratelli wines and Italian craft beers brewed by Urban Craft Brewing Co.
The Bavarian offers schnitzels, burgers, house-made sausages and hotdogs, as well as twice-cooked, hand-cut fries with a range of toppings; chicken wings with BBQ, Buffalo and Diablo sauces; build-your-own salads; and Bavarian dishes including crispy pork knuckle and tasting platters.
The drinks list features 17 beers on tap, including imported brands Hofbrau, Stiegl, Paulaner, Franziskaner and Lowenbrau and 11 locally brewed beers by Urban Craft Brewing Co.
Rockpool Dining Group CEO Thomas Pash said the Penrith venues would create employment for around 35 employees, bringing career opportunities to young hospitality professionals located in Western Sydney.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing our Famous pizzas and much-loved Bavarian fast-casual offering to Penrith, which will deliver quick, convenient and affordable dining options and create around 35 jobs,” Pash said.
The new dual venue follows Rockpool Dining Group’s first Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian duo, which launched at World Square shopping centre in Sydney’s CBD in October 2016. Along with Sake Jr, Fratelli Famous and The Bavarian are expected to boast up to 100 sites each by 2021.
Fratelli Famous & The Bavarian are on the ground floor, Westfield Penrith and are open Monday–Friday 11am–12am.
